Week 7
Oct 22, 2025

These past 2 weeks, I’m digging deeper into the research & framework – after hearing the suggestion that, the embodied research and really living in that space, would eventually let the people feel my understanding and relationship with it. I had felt that, through living in the house dance community (related to one branch of my research, of embodiment and movement framework). So I want to live a bit more in Cyberfeminist frameworks and space.

This past Saturday, I went to Mindy Seu’s performance with her new book, A Sexual History of the Internet; I found the format of performance lecture intriguing – how it is participatory in a really simple format, of experiencing through instagram story together.

I started a literature review document and started putting quotes and passages that I read into it, as I do wish to develop written portions, theories or paper, as a portion of my thesis project. This week I read Donna Haraway’s Situated Knowledge, because of my interest in the feminist lens of understanding the world and knowledge. I also encountered some very interesting articles & podcast, surrounding AI, neural-network and neural media, making sense of

Through Medium of Memory class’s final, I developed a 3D digital collage, as part of the “club memories”, that I see could be part of the thesis// larger story about the house dance community in New York City, across generations. Now it is still a work in progress, as I envision adding interactive elements through the mediapipe, as well as using sources from interviews// oral history with the older generation club kids.
