We started with the idea of creating a little cypher scene — I do street style dances, and William was also once intrigued by the energy coming from the dance cypher.
After discussion, we decided to use lego mini characters to dance. We also used Willima’s studio for the shoot, with the camera.
We tested the layout, equipment, lighting, etc, on the first day, and shoot the second day. One obstacle we ran into is the choregraphy with lego figures — it’s kind of hard with limited ways of moving, but we made them do some break dancing ;) We planned to use printed background board originally too, but because of the lighting & size we eventually used empty natural background.
